L15 - Fluroesent Tubes Reduction

Implementing this symbol means the business/company has eliminated at least 10% of fluorescent light tubes by outfitting them from the socket of the light fitting. Save $ 4,257.35

Many buildings use way more lighting than they need, far too often we see lights burning needlessly under skylights, which offer more than enough natural light on their own. Have a look around, at home, at work, in shops, wherever you go, it’s not unusual to see lights on, Lights are particularly over-used along walkways and corridors where, during the day, available daylight is sufficient also from a safety point of view.

Check safety issues with your lighting expert or electrician regarding the changes you are willing to undertake. Check OH&S requirements (lighting can be measured by a Lux-meter). Most probably, you’ll find you can cut out a lot of lights. Older buildings particularly are often over-lit, times, when electricity prices were low and CO2 emissions weren’t an issue. If outfitting of fluorescent tubes is not possible, or not safe, you can still minimize your running costs and save a lot of money every year by installing a variety of options with flexible functions and devices that can vary lighting according to your needs. Automatic dimming or switching off in areas where light is not required at a certain time of the day.
