M4 - Composting Toilet

Implementing this symbol means the business/company has installed a composting toilet. Save $ 214.45

As there is no water flushing system, composting toilets save enormous amounts of water, it simply needs a cup of organic matter such as sawdust to help the breakdown, important is that only sawdust from natural wood is used and not any sawdust from the MDF board or any other compacted artificial boards, they contain glues and other chemicals which will stop the breakdown process. A composting toilet system also emits four times less methane gas due to its relatively short and efficient decomposing process. In contrast, a water-flushing toilet allows methane gas to escape for up to a week before breakdown occurs because of the long period of wetness.
