Businesses implementing this symbol understand that every plastic bag supplied is an environmental hazard. Plastic bags in their millions are breaking down into small particles in our landfills, becoming airborne, and inevitably reaching our waterways and ending up in the sea. These small particles enter our delicate ecosystem where animals mistake them for food and a large amount of this wildlife is lost in this way. Thousands of sea turtles, birds, and fish die agonizing deaths after consuming plastic bags or particles, eventually, we will too! To lose our precious wildlife, and jeopardize our own survival by polluting our food chain for the sake of ignorance, or convenience and cause plain cruelty and to destroy our precious ecosystem is insane. Further, this plastic problem is a great concern amongst scientists claiming that currently there is no Honey available on our planet that does not contain microplastic particles inside it, we even cause damage to our genes. We, humans, have the potential to manage and maintain a balance in the ecosystem if we become conscious enough. Here is one simple way to contribute to the healing of the planet.

Jute bags recently introduced by one of the largest food retailers are a great idea, the bag is strong, looks good, and can last a number of years. Furthermore, it biodegrades by 100% if disposed of in landfill no toxic chemicals are released if the color printing ink on the bag is also safe. The jute bag is far superior quality, compared to the reusable and popular green synthetic material shopping bag. The so-called “green bag" is in fact made out of exactly the same Poly propelling plastic that the conventional free plastic bag is made out of. The throw-away thin shopping bag is 4 grams in weight and the so-called "green Bag" weighs 80 grams.
More resources are used, the same problem exists and they cannot be recycled, does not decompose and generate leachates in landfill, and emit toxins when incinerated, further problems to the issues mentioned above.

Example: The green bag, 80 grams in weight HDPE Plastic compared with the thin (HDPE) shopping bag when entered into the Environment produces small particles causing the death of our sea life when air born also killing Insects and blocked drainages (less now due to recycling) E.g. 7 thin shopping bags used per week, compared with the reusable and washable green bag with a life expectancy of 12 months in this example.
