M6 - Dual - Flush Toilet Sets

Implementing this symbol means the business/company has dual flushing systems installed throughout.

Currently, the four-star system is at the top for water-saving, where the full flush will use 6 liters and 3 liters of water with the half flush. Make sure that when replacing your existing system the complete arrangement is replaced and not only the flushing unit. In the new arrangement, the toilet bowl is designed with a restricted water trap at the bottom of the bowl so that 6 liters are enough to export all the necessary waste. By only replacing the cistern, the toilet suite will not perform correctly and water will be wasted by flushing several times in an effort to keep the bowl clean. This of course defeats the purpose of the replacement of the cistern only, wasting even more water than before. The use of composting toilets will save 100% of water and there are great systems on the market. Composting toilets do emit four times less amount of methane gas, compared to the wet system, which produces methane gas at the wastewater treatment plant where all the town’s wastewater is collected for purification. Refer to implementation M4.
